“I appreciate the support that she has given me. This time last year my life was rubbish and talking to me and supporting me helped get my life back on track.” (pupil)
Schools Outreach is an independent registered charity established in 1973 to provide unconditional pastoral care for children and young people.
Our website is divided into sections: information about us - our history, who we are and where we’ve made an impact; information about the need for pastoral care - the problems affecting children, how we work in schools and the results of our work; information for schools - the various ways in which we work with schools and how providing pastoral care for pupils can be a real benefit; information for supporters - how you can support our work by donating, shopping online and even recycling; and information for other organisations - what we have to offer other groups working with children and young people.
October 2010 - Gordon Bailey, our founder and Chief Executive and Andrea Bailey, the company secretary, have now been made redundant. But, the training goes on! See the new website providing online courses for those working with children and young people - www.pastoralcareforkids.com
September 2010 - we say goodbye to our last pastoral care worker, Tim Freeman of the Hreod Project in Swindon.
